Moveable Feast: Marketing Materials
This non-profit organization delivers nutritious meals to homebound Marylanders living with HIV/AIDS, breast cancer, and other life-threatening conditions.
Brochure Design
The organization wanted to break out of raising funds primarily through events. As such, they came to us to produce a "pitch book" to be used to target major gift-giving from individuals and institutions.
Given the personal nature and stigma that can surround cancer and people living with HIV/AIDS we chose to focus on how the staff and volunteers provide door-to-door human contact to many of their clients who may live completely alone. To call attention more subtly to the causes we leveraged pink and red ink colors instead of relying on often over-used ribbons.
In addition to the design, and art direction, we help coin a campaign slogan and title of the brochure: "Feed people. Fight disease. Foster hope." which spread throughout the organization.
The over-sided brochure was printed digitally to save money on the small runs they needed for these larger requests for donations. However, we didn't stop there. We convinced the executive staff to allow us to repurpose & redesign the content to create an inexpensive overview brochure that can easily be distributed at their many events throughout the year and via direct mail campaigns.
