School for Photographic Studies: Materials

A private school based in Baltimore for the study of documentary photography with course offerings in Prague.

Brochure Design

Our objective was to promote The School's summer course offerings in Prague to prospective students in the United States and in Europe and state the case for foundation-level funding.

Since this is a school devoted to the documentary style of photography, we decided early on that more visual emphasis needed to be allocated to the photography without overemphasizing any one particular photographer's work.

In addition, the dense course content, policies and procedures needed to be handled in such a way to not detract from the photography. The added benefit to the brochure design was the ability for two brochures to be hung up side-by-side, resulting in a nearly 6-foot-wide poster for posting at colleges, universities and other gathering places.
