University of Baltimore, located in Baltimore's cultural district, provides knowledge that works. UB specializes in graduate programs for professionals in liberal arts, business and law.

Brochure Design

The objective of the magazine was to increase alumni interaction with and awareness of what's new at the University and specifically, at the Law School while also passively soliciting alumni donor support.

Although the University has an internal design department, their workload and the magazine's publication deadline prompted them to seek out our assistance. Happy with the previous year's magazine structure, we were directed to utilize its foundation, but design it anew based on the content to be included in the 2003 issue.

A few pages were template driven and required modest work, while the feature articles needed to really draw the reader in. We used innovative typographic solutions to accomplish this task as well as cost-effective yet imaginative image selection and treatment. We were also able to save the University money on the production end by eliminating four pages without making the publication appear too dense.
