Moveable Feast, which ensures that Baltimore-area residents living with HIV/AIDS or who in treatment with breast cancer have their nutritional needs met on a daily basis, has hired Incite to develop marketing materials that will help it solicit corporate donors.
The Maryland Trust for Retarded Citizens, which helps families manage the state’s process for receiving funding and other resources, has engaged Incite to conduct a positioning workshop and re-create its image and perception in the marketplace.
The Anne Arundel County Court-Appointed Special Advocate Program, a supporter of abused and neglected children who are involved in juvenile court proceedings with the goal of ensuring their right to safe, stable, permanent homes, has asked Incite to help with marketing materials for a volunteer recruitment effort.
Also new is the Maryland SHERO Awards, an event that honors the impact of women in the community and helps raise scholarship funding for young women at Maryland colleges. Incite created an overall marketing plan with a sponsorship kit, multiple ads, and the event program.
“We’ve always felt that the moniker ‘non-profit’ is misleading because even non-profit organizations have to make a profit to meet their budget and maintain operations,” says Incite’s president Dina Wasmer. “Whether the goal is to gain members, promote an event or increase visibility, there are times when non-profits have to act like for-profit businesses and establish solid marketplace positioning, then implement a plan that meets the needs of their audiences.
